If it ain’t broke don’t fix it

Florida traffic camera data

Back in the early 70’s while attending a two-week school on installing Commercial Burners my Engineer/Teacher started the class with two phases written on the blackboard.

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

and

“You can make anything machine proof”.

“However, you cannot make anything people proof”.

He correctly disputed the first phases over and over again in those two weeks.

At the end of the two weeks while handing out our diplomas he placed on that Blackboard,

” Now for your final quiz, you must try to disprove the second”.

I spent the next forty years in the business proving that the second one,

“You can make anything machine proof however, you cannot make anything people proof”

It cannot be disproven because it is the truth.

Florida traffic camera data delivers surprises

Now to proving that you cannot make anything people proof.

The machine (traffic lights) works.

I can, over and over again disprove this debunked statement

found in my newspaper 02/12/2014 by

Chairman Jeff Brandes of St. Petersburg

and

Frank Artiles of Miami.

The traffic lights do save lives and will continue to do so if, we the people, will just get out-of-the-way.

The problem is once again PEOPLE!

Florida government, being lazy, farmed the lights out-of-state

to a scheming, crooked company that is lying and cheating Floridians.

The fault is our Florida government/politicians, not the machines (Traffic Lights).

Speaking as a driver that must travel those roads in Orlando, with lights at intersections with cameras, people for the most part, obey the lights, or should I say did until the camera company started cheating and because of this, tickets were being thrown out of court.

After that cheating by an out-of-state company and our lazy government, drivers just went back to their old way!
