Moxley: Error in school data could have been caught!
Moxley previously said the data the district sent to the FDOE was accurate and explained there simply was a problem with aligning the district’s codes with the state’s.
But School Board member Bill Mathias expressed frustration with the issue at a previous school board meeting, resulting in Lake County Schools Chief Finance Officer Carol MacLeod acknowledging there were errors made.
Lake County Schools Superintendent Susan Moxley acknowledged Monday the vast majority of the district’s inaccurate student enrollment data sent to the state —which drew an initial $1.2 million fine from the Department of Education — might have been caught had the district done a final proofread.
